Derby city dementia service is provided by Making Space and aims to help people with dementia to live an active and fulfilled life.

There are three strands to the service which is designed to help meet peoples needs and to look after their health and wellbeing:
Support
Making Space get to know people as an individual and will recommend the support they need to live a full life
Information
Carers make a massive contribution to society and Making Space believes they deserve every support in understanding more about dementia and the skills they might need to cope. Making Space help carers develop strategies which enable them to look after their loved ones at home for longer
Peer support
The Making Space Peer Support Service is all about bringing people together to share their experiences and encourage each other to live safely and healthily and to make informed choices about their on-going care and support.
The Peer Support Service provides Dementia Cafés, Carer Support and Befriending.
